How this works
- Censure — a published minute of disapproval. It takes nothing away.
- The Bench — a fortnight without the pen and without office. Never the ballot, never candidacy.
- Exile — a season in the Interior, and the right to come home to the district of your number afterwards.
The Secretary is the sole finder of fact: a report is upheld by the desk and by nobody else, and a district may cite an upheld finding but can never produce one. A censure is an act of the district's government. The Bench and exile are district ballots at Article VI quorum, carried only by two thirds of the seats that answer — a tie dismisses the charge, and no beacon and no chance is ever consulted about a sanction. Nothing on this page touches anybody's vote or candidacy, in any circumstance; electoral immunity is absolute, and no sanction may even be charged during a district's campaign fortnight or election week.
