THE GAZETTE

The club, a week at a time

One issue a week, assembled from the ledger rather than written: the draw that ran, the seats that filled, the questions answered, where the roll stood. A week in which nothing happened is printed as one.

It stands here for everybody, and nobody is mailed a copy. No editor picks what is in it and nobody writes it, so it can only ever be as interesting as the week was — which is the property that makes it worth reading at all, and the reason a thin issue is published rather than skipped.

Weeks run Sunday to Saturday, UTC; the draw at 18:00 on the Sunday is the event each week turns on. Members also get every logbook entry by email as it lands — that mailing has carried the Gazette's name since the club opened, and this is the same record with the whole week in one place. The logbook is where the Secretary writes at length; the feed carries those entries, every settled issue of this page, and each Sunday's draw — no address required.
